IMPACT Hosts its 1st Field of Dreams
On Monday, October 1st Gary and the IMPACT Foundation hosted their first "Field of Dreams" program at Jillian's.
Over 80 people gathered in Jillian's Video Cafe as the IMPACT Foundation hosted twenty children suffering from Pediatric Cancer for an evening of food, fun, games and Monday Night Football.
Upon arrival, each child was given an IMPACT Foundation t-shirt and a picture for Gary to autograph. As our guests found their seats, Gary quickly greeted them and autographed their pictures.
Just before dinner, Channel 13's Eyewitness News'Â Dave Calabro stopped in to interview our little guests for that night's news broadcast.
The children were treated to a buffet of kid's favorites including mini-corn dogs, mini-cheeseburgers, hot dogs, French fries and pizza.
Shortly after dinner it was game time. Each child was provided game cards for the video games, as well as exclusive use of the bowling lanes and pool tables.
After nearly an hour of game playing, it was finally time for Monday Night Football. While most of the adults gathered in the Video Cafe to root for a Bengals' rout of the Patriots, many of the children could not resist the temptation of unlimited video games.
For many of the children it was a dream night. Gary Brackett, fun food, games and gear. Their smiles and laughs filled rooms at Jillian's and the hearts of all those in attendance.
The IMPACT Foundation would like to give a very special thank you to Jim Brown of Jillian's and Mr. Bill Campbell for making this magical evening a reality through their generous donations.
